What happens when sharp alumni minds, AI innovation, and the Greater Bay Area’s manufacturing ecosystem converge? 💡🚀
On August 15, the CityUHK MBA community gathered in Futian, Shenzhen, for our Summer Luncheon Reunion, an afternoon packed with inspiring insights, strategic networking, and meaningful reconnections.
It was fantastic to connect with our alumni and see graduates across different class years coming together under one roof to exchange ideas, share experiences, and build lasting bonds.
Our Dean, College of Business, kicked off the afternoon with a warm welcome, setting the tone for an incredible lineup of sessions:
🔹 From MBA to AI Builder: Prof. Jack Lau shared compelling perspectives on leveraging AI alongside the Greater Bay Area (GBA) manufacturing ecosystem to build the next tech unicorn.
🔹 Navigating the AI Talent Landscape: Mr. Duncan Smorfitt (Managing Director, Robert Half Hong Kong) delivered essential market trends and recruitment insights on how AI is reshaping executive talent demand.
🔹 Empowering Continuous Growth: Prof. Kevin Sun provided exciting updates on the MBA Programme, reaffirming our commitment to lifelong learning and alumni career advancement.
🔹 Value-Added Alumni Opportunities: The College of Business is now offering mentorship pairing for recent graduates, along with limited course registration spots for alumni looking to upskill with our newest AI and technology courses.
Beyond the keynotes, the real highlight was watching cross-generational connections unfold as alumni mentored rising professionals and explored new synergies across the GBA landscape.
🤝Thank you to our speakers and every alumnus who joined us in Shenzhen to make this reunion such a vibrant success!
