1. A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university, or equivalent

2. Preferably at least 2 years of full-time post-graduate work experience as of September 2026.

3. GMAT/GRE:
• GMAT/GRE is not required for applicants with more than two years of work experience at the time of application.
• Applicants with less than two years of work experience may receive a conditional offer of admission upon the submission of a satisfactory GMAT or GRE score.
• GMAT institution codes: 54Q-QT-88 (full-time); 54Q-QT-22 (part-time). -
4. Applicants whose entrance qualification is obtained from an institution where the medium of instruction is not English should also fulfill the following minimum English proficiency requirement:
• a score of 79 (Internet-based Test) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)@#; or
• an overall band score of 6.0 in International English Language Testing System (IELTS)@#^; or
• a score of 450 in the new College English Test (CET6) of Chinese mainland or a pass in the old CET-6 test; or
• other equivalent qualifications/alternative English test -
5. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview either face-to-face or online.
@ TOEFL and IELTS scores are considered valid for two years. Applicants are required to provide their English test results obtained within the two years preceding the start of the University's application period.
@ TOEFL iBT Home Edition, TOEFL MyBest Score, IELTS Indicator, IELTS One Skill Retake and IELTS Online are NOT accepted.
# Applicants are required to arrange for the Educational Testing Service (ETS) to send their TOEFL results directly to the University. The TOEFL institution code for CityUHK is 3401.
^ Applicants are required to arrange for sending their IELTS result(s) via the IELTS Results Service e-delivery to the University. Please note that applicants with an overall band score of 6.0 will be required to pass an interview for English proficiency.

# To be eligible for the dual-degree arrangement, applicants must be admitted to both the full-time MBA programme and the corresponding partner programme.

Credit Transfer
Students who hold a recognised Master's degree in a relevant discipline may apply to transfer up to 30% of the credit load from the MBA Programme.

Scholarships
MBA Elite Scholarship
Applicants admitted with significant work experience, outstanding academic or job achievement, evidence of leadership in extracurricular activities and community services, or a high GMAT score and good performance in the admission interview will be considered and nominated.
MBA Diversity Contribution Scholarship
Outstanding international applicants or applicants with overseas work/education experience (outside HK and China) or special talents will be considered and nominated upon admission.
Remarks:
• All scholarships are by nominations. No application is required.
• All scholarships are not mutually exclusive. Students can receive multiple awards on a competitive and merit basis.

Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme
All participants are eligible to apply for the Government Extended Non-means-tested Loan. The maximum loan amount will be capped at the tuition fee level. Continuing Education Fund (CEF)
CityUHK MBA is a reimbursable programme under the CEF scheme, which provides a maximum of HK$25,000 in reimbursement to students who fulfil the criteria.
