What do you enjoy most about teaching CityUHK MBA students?
Our MBA students are smart, mature, and engaging. I enjoy the intellectual challenge of their perspectives and insights.
How do you combine theoretical concepts with the latest industry practices and business trends?
My research is deeply connected to real-world industry practices, naturally allowing me to apply mathematical theories to business challenges.
What books would you recommend CityUHK MBA students to read? Why?
The book I recently read is Genius Makers: The Mavericks Who Brought AI to Google, Facebook, and the World by Cade Metz. It chronicles the decades-long journey of artificial intelligence development, illustrating that, much like Rome wasn’t built in a day, the AI revolution we’re experiencing today is the result of years of persistent work by visionary researchers and engineers.
What business topics should CityUHK MBA students be the most familiar with when they graduate from our programme?
All topics are relevant and valuable for cultivating future business leaders. However, keep in mind that AI has influenced every aspect of business today. While AI won’t replace humans, those who harness AI will outpace those who don’t.
Any other information that you feel comfortable sharing with our prospective students?
I’m a passionate sports fan. I train intensively and play badminton regularly in my spare time.
