The US-China tariff war, initiated in 2018 and intensified in April 2025, represents a high-stakes negotiation where both nations leverage economic pressure to advance strategic goals. Conducted in English, this Masterclass delivered by Prof. Chak Fu Lam (MBA Programme Director) will explore the underlying objectives driving the adversarial policies through the lens of negotiation. You will learn basic negotiation tactics and use the tariff war as a case study to gain insights on effective negotiation.
Prof. Lam will also provide a comprehensive overview of the MBA Programme.
This Masterclass will take place in hybrid mode (in person at CityUHK campus and on zoom), and refreshment will be provided. For those interested in applying to our MBA program, attending this event may give you an edge in obtaining an exclusive scholarship.
