Professor Myron Scholes, who was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics Sciences in 1997 and is best known as one of the authors of the Black-Scholes equation, was invited to the City University in November 2013 for a presentation on Global Economy, as well as an interview featured by the television program “Century Auditorium” of Phoenix TV (世紀大講堂 - 鳳凰衛視).

Over two-dozen MBA students and staff members from the College of Business traveled to Shenzhen, China on 8 November 2013, visiting Hanbo Enterprises Ltd and HIT-Shenzhen.

MBA students and guests attended the College of Business on 29 October 2013, for the first MBA Programme Executive Discovery and Network seminar series delivered by Dr Norman Leung, Executive Chairman of Television Broadcasts Ltd (TVB).
