The President of Hong Kong Institute of Human Resources Management Mr Francis Mok Gar Lon was invited as a guest speaker of the MBA Professional Forum held on the evening of 2 December 2013. Mr Lok has extensive experience is the field and specialised in HR management and talent development.
During the forum titled "Challenges for HR Professionals in a Dynamic Business World", Mr Lok presented the latest trends of the Hong Kong labour market through statistical data. He has encouraged discussion on issues related to the local employment market including the contributing factors to Hong Kong economy, labour shortage and job mismatch, diminishing workforce number due to ageing population, employer and employee relation and industries providing better employment opportunities. The forum gave MBA students the opportunity to unveil issues of the Hong Kong labour market, vision for the future employment especially with careers in demand and the importance of discovering and mapping their abilities and talents in establishing their own career.
