The 18th year of the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon with a participation of over 73,000 runners has been successfully held on 16 February 2014. “Run for a Reason” has continued to be the marathon slogan meaning that participants enter the race for a variety of reasons.

Four CityU MBA students (Henry Ng, Geoffrey Kwan, Oliver To and Patrick Wu) have had team up and successfully completed the 42.195-kilometre full marathon race on Sunday. Geoffrey Kwan, a participated runner, a current MBA student and committee member of the CityU MBA Student Club, has expressed an interest of promoting similar sport activities to MBA students as it creates opportunities to strengthen participant’s connection through supporting each other at the event. “We are planning to form teams under our association to join more similar activities in future, and promote sportsmanship culture within CityU MBA.” Geoffrey said.

The MBA programme management recognizes their participation in the Marathon race, and their achievement brings recognition and honor to our community. Inspired by what CityU MBA has to offer, and to aspire, united and to become one.
