An MBA Masterclass themed “Navigating the AI Revolution: A Guide for Future Business Leaders” delivered by Professor Andy Chun, Adjunct Professor of College of Business, was well received by approximately 50 prospective students and alumni.
The Masterclass began with opening remarks by Professor Chak Fu Lam, MBA Associate Director, who warmly welcomed the attendees and expressed gratitude to Professor Chun for providing this valuable opportunity for prospective students to experience an MBA-style class.
During the class, Professor Chun shared his insightful perspectives on the cutting-edge advancements in generative AI and elaborated on its transformative potential for the future of work, as well as the advantages it can offer to businesses and the crucial considerations of AI ethics and governance.
Regarding the myth surrounding the proficiency of generative AI and its potential to replace human labour, Professor Chun reiterated the importance for future leaders to strengthen their human-centric competencies, including leadership, management, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking, while embracing generative AI technologies.

The Masterclass concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where participants enthusiastically asked questions to further explore the possibilities of future AI development. MBA Associate Director Professor Lam then summarised the class and briefly introduced the CityU MBA Programme to the participants. Following the session, participants had the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with one another over refreshments.
