The CityUHK MBA Student Orientation was held on 31 August and 1 September 2024, marking the beginning of the academic journey for the new cohort of MBA students.

The CityUHK MBA hosted a Sustainability Symposium titled "Adapting to the Changing Financial Terrain" on 29 June 2024 to explore the role of innovation in promoting a sustainable financial landscape. Over 60 participants, including prospective and current students, alumni, and industry professionals, attended the symposium. The symposium featured several speakers who provided various perspectives on sustainability in the financial sector.

Around 30 CityU MBA students visited Shanghai for a 10-day Enterprise Diagnostic Residential Trip (R-trip) from 16 to 25 June 2024, working as a consultancy group for Buy Quickly (BQ) project.

After a year of hard work and dedication, the CityUHK Commencement on June 13th celebrated the academic accomplishments of MBA graduates in 2024 with their loved ones, family, and friends, marking the successful completion of their MBA journey.

An MBA Masterclass themed “Navigating the AI Revolution: A Guide for Future Business Leaders” delivered by Professor Andy Chun, Adjunct Professor of College of Business, was well received by approximately 50 prospective students and alumni.

We warmly received around 60 MBA alumni for a reunion on 16 March 2024. The gathering provided an excellent opportunity for MBA alumni from different academic years and industries to come together and exchange ideas while enjoying delicious food and drinks in a relaxed and welcoming environment. The alumni had a wonderful time reconnecting with professors, classmates and making new friends and gaining valuable insights.

Despite the adverse weather that occurred in Hong Kong in early September, we managed to welcome our new cohort of students to the MBA Orientation on September 9, 2023. The orientation began with engaging team-building activities to build trust and connections among the students, proving once again that "together everyone achieves more" (TEAM). It also signifies although there will be challenges ahead, they can overcome them through learning and support from their learning partners.

Venturing beyond the classrooms, CityU MBA led a group of students to Silicon Valley and kick-started the Entrepreneurship & Venture Plan Development course at UC Berkeley for a ten-day experiential learning journey.

June 2023 was a fulfilling month for our MBA students with the experiential learning course in the United Kingdom. Led by MBA Director Professor Kevin Chiang, the students travelled to Imperial College London to participate in a research project focused on the market and branding of the Royal Albert Hall. This iconic concert venue has a century-long history and is renowned for its prestige.
